IELTS Test Results
You would need to submit your IELTS test results. If you don’t submit it along with your university application, you might be asked to show them later. Alternatively, you can even show that the medium of instruction throughout your academic career was in English. And, if your university accepts it, you might not need to take IELTS.
Your Educational Certificates
All your academic certificates will have to be submitted. A list of those documents is given below:
- Class 10th Marksheet
- Class 12th Marksheet
- Degree certificates/Provisional Degree Certificates (if you are applying for PG and PhD level courses)
- Character Certificate
- Medium of Instructions Certificate (if your university accepts it instead of IELTS)
Statement of Purpose (SoP)
This is a written academic and professional profile statement wherein you need to outline:
- Why you want to pursue the course
- What is your plan after completing the course
- How does it tie to your long-term career goals
- Why you think you are a fit student for the course and the university
Academic References – Letter of Recommendation (LoR)
You need to submit at-least 2 academic references written by your professors/teachers. Ensure that they also reflect what you have written in your SoP. For more information, click here.
Your professional Resume fully complete with all the relevant details.
Depending on your course and university requirements, you might have to submit a piece of written academic essay. It could be anywhere between 3,000 – 6,000 words depending on the requirements. It is always good to have an academic essay prepared before applying. So that, when the university asks for one, you are not rushed to write one at that instant.
These certificates are issued by your employer and need to be supplied. If you have not been issued one, get in touch with your employer immediately. If you are an undergraduate and have not had any formal employment, you need not worry.
